AFN Chief of Staff Office Hours
Leadership Development Through Peer Dialogue
Leadership doesn't happen in isolation.
AFN Chief of Staff Office Hours bring together Chiefs of Staff from diverse organizations for facilitated peer dialogue centered on the realities of the role. Each week, members step into a trusted environment to navigate organizational complexity, pressure-test ideas, strengthen decision-making, and learn alongside peers who understand the unique demands of supporting executive leadership.
It is a space for honest conversation, practical insight, and ongoing leadership development.
What to expect
01
Leadership in Real Time
Leadership challenges don't wait for the next workshop or coaching session.
Every Friday from 12:00–1:00 PM PT / 3:00–4:00 PM ET, Chiefs of Staff come together for facilitated peer conversations focused on the issues leaders are navigating right now.
Sessions are grounded in real-world experiences rather than theory, creating opportunities to share perspectives, explore new approaches, and learn from the collective experience of the group.
Each conversation is facilitated by a thoughtfully curated bench of leaders, including:
-
CEOs
-
Executive coaches
-
Experienced operators
-
Subject matter experts
Together, they bring practical insight, relevant expertise, and real-world perspective to every discussion.
02
The Power of Peer Learning
Chiefs of Staff often operate at the center of strategy, communication, and execution, yet few have peers inside their own organizations who truly understand the role.
Office Hours provides a trusted environment where members can:
-
Navigate complexity with peers who understand the realities of the position
-
Strengthen influence, alignment, and executive decision-making
-
Explore challenges from multiple perspectives
-
Build relationships with leaders facing similar opportunities and demands
While leadership development begins through coaching and formal learning, it is strengthened through ongoing dialogue, shared experience, and trusted relationships.
03
Intentionally Curated
The value of peer learning is shaped by the quality of the room.
At Sixth Wing, we intentionally prioritize depth of conversation over scale, creating an environment where meaningful dialogue, trust, and candor can thrive.
Our Office Hours community is designed to foster:
-
Thoughtful, high-caliber participation
-
Meaningful conversation over performative networking
-
Diverse perspectives from leaders across organizations and industries
-
A trusted environment built for learning, reflection, and growth
Every session is designed to ensure members leave with practical insights they can immediately apply in their organizations.
04
Experience the Environment
The best way to understand the value of peer learning is to experience it.
Throughout the year, Sixth Wing invites Chiefs of Staff, aspiring Chiefs of Staff, and organizational leaders to participate in select open Office Hours sessions. These conversations offer an opportunity to experience the quality of dialogue, facilitation, and peer learning that define the AFN community.
Whether you're currently serving as a Chief of Staff, supporting one, or exploring the role, open sessions provide a meaningful introduction to the experience.
