Executive Coach & Facilitator

A seasoned executive coach and leadership culture expert, John is committed to helping leaders build and sustain high-performing teams. Drawing on his extensive experience collaborating with senior executives across diverse industries, he provides actionable guidance on decision-making, trust cultivation, and designing information-sharing frameworks that enable teams to thrive.

John is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL with 28 years of service, where he led elite teams in some of the world’s most demanding and high-pressure environments. During his military career, he held senior operational leadership roles across multiple SEAL Teams and special operations units, including as Senior Enlisted Advisor for Naval Special Warfare Group ONE. His operational deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, and the Philippines allowed him to refine his expertise in strategic execution, decentralized leadership, and fostering a culture of high performance team dynamics.

My coaching approach is rooted in the principle that while leadership principles remain constant, behaviors must evolve to support organizational scale and complexity.

Following his military career, John was recruited by McChrystal Group, a leadership consulting firm founded by General Stanley McChrystal. In this capacity, he partnered with Fortune 500 companies to align strategic objectives, enhance decision-making, and improve execution in dynamic and fast-changing business landscapes. He later contributed to the launch of CrossLead, a SaaS enterprise focused on adaptive leadership methodologies.

John is also a member of the Board of Advisors for Arcadia Cognerati, where he applies Human Behavior Pattern Recognition & Analysis (HBPR&A) to strengthen decision-making in law enforcement, military, and corporate environments.

Beyond his professional endeavors, he is a dedicated advocate for veterans, serving on the Advisory Board of the Disabled Veterans Political Action Committee (PAC). John holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Organizational Leadership & Development. He lives in Southern Oregon with his wife and son, where he enjoys working with animals, gardening, and training service dogs for wounded warriors and children with autism.
