Two years ago, the Sixth Wing team gathered for a retreat at Garden of the Gods. Standing at the edge of those red rocks, we said aloud what we could only imagine at the time: “One day, we’ll host a leadership experience here, one that feels different.”

And earlier this month, that vision became real.

Together with our partners at AFN, we welcomed leaders from across industries to the inaugural Leadership That Lifts, a gathering that brought to life what we’ve always believed: leadership development should be deeply human, immediately relevant, and profoundly connective.

From the first arrival to the final event overlooking the mountains, something powerful unfolded. There was laughter, learning, reflection, and renewal. Every conversation, every pause between sessions, carried a sense of purpose and authenticity that reminded us why we do this work.

The Experience
Leadership That Lifts was intentionally designed to move beyond theory and into practice, helping leaders build capability, courage, and clarity. Each session offered insights you could apply the very next day:

Between sessions, the conversations continued over shared meals, under sunset skies, and yes, even with a few curious wildlife visitors who seemed to sense the energy of it all.

A Promise Fulfilled and a Beginning
This was more than a conference. It was a community in motion. Leaders came as individuals and left as part of something larger, with shared commitment to lead with clarity, compassion, and intention.
